Adbelrahman Dawoud (Baltimore International Academy, 2018-2019) and Henriette Sindjui (Baltimore International Academy, 2018-2019) received a CLP grant for an Arabic Week Celebration which will include activities for students in the Arabic immersion program and students and parents in the Arabic Language Club. Activities included a guest speaker, exhibits of students’ work, music, and performances. Before the celebration, students and teachers worked in the language club to learn songs, dances, and other performances. The long-term objectives were to insure the sustainability of the Arabic program at school by advertising it and encouraging more students to enroll in the Arabic immersion program next year.

After explaining this grammatical point, students were asked to participate in pair work and make as many sentences as they can orally. After they became confident about the conjugation of the verbs in the present and different forms with different subjects, They had a table to write the verb in its correct position and to write the other forms as well.

This test is based on unit 5, Arabic II, Second semester. It covers the four language skills. There is another listening and speaking portion but it was done after the test in plairs. as each pair had the right to speak about any topic they want for 2 or 3 minutes.
