Donny Peters
Bio
Donny is originally from Anaheim, California and has lived in California, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, New York, North Carolina and West Virginia. He received an undergraduate and graduate degree in Communication Studies at Ball State University in Munice, IN. Donny completed additional graduate work at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Since 2022, he has been an IB history teacher and head debate coach at Brooklyn Emerging Leaders Academy. Donny has taught at the high school and college level for 18 years and has coached high school and college debate for 21 years. He firmly believes teaching and coaching debate maintains his obligation to support the community around him. Mr. Peters will be the mentor teacher to Laila Taik from Berrechid, Morocco.
