The annual Virtual Alumni Conference was held on February 15, 2024.
On Wednesday, February 15, 2024, the Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP) hosted the 11tth Annual TCLP Virtual Alumni Training Conference.
This year, the theme of the Virtual Alumni Conference was "Communities of Practice and Mentoring of Peers.”.
TCLP exchange teacher alumni from PRC, Egypt, Morocco, and Taiwan were invited to participate in the one-and-a-half-hour event. Nearly thirty alumni and current exchange teachers got together for TCLP’s 11th annual Virtual Alumni Conference.
This year’s speaker, Dr. Rebecca Fox, Professor of Education at George Mason University, led a discussion on being teacher leaders and mentors. During the conference, alumni learned strategies for developing communities of practice within their home schools and local areas, with the eventual goal of ensuring all students achieve world language competence.
