At the end of the class, students will be able to 1. recognize Chinese currency (one yuan, five yuan, ten yuan, twenty yuan, fifty yuan and one hundred yuan and one dime, five dime and fen) 2. speak fluently how to ask for prices of fruits and how many they want to buy and can understand the price when the sale tells them. 3. recognize whether the price is reasonable and decide whether they need to bargain for a better price ; 4. make dialogues of selling and buying stationary at the shop and fruits at the market. 5. use sentence pattern fluently: “Duo shao qian?” “Zen me mai?” “San yuan qian” “Pianyi yi dian.”, “Tai gui le.”

The lesson is about Chinese currency.By watching ppt about Christmas in China,students became excited and interested And let students know.for Chinese people,Christmas is also the time for shopping.. In China,people use Chinese money. I showed Chinese money to them and told the exchange rate between Chinese dollar and US dollar.Read the words on the money and practiced in group.Later they did shopping game.Some students acted as shop assistants while others as customers.By shopping,students practiced the words for money and prices,at the same time,they reviewed words for fruits, food,colors,clothing and numbers.
