By the end of this lesson, my students Can: - Recognize the names of all the Arab countries and their geographical location. - Know how many Arab countries & why we call them so. - Identify the flag (its significance) & the Capital of each country. - Categorize the each Arab country whether it belongs to Africa or Asia - Know the Main four directions.( North شمال – South جنوب – East شرق- West غرب ) - Use new Arabic words (country بلد/دولة – Capital عاصمة – Flag علم – currency عُملة – city - مدينة… language لغة – religion دين - Be familiar with the traditional food & clothes of each country. - Know the main religion & the official language of each country - Say what each country is famous for - Know the neighboring countries of each country. - Design a whole project about one of those countries; slide show, brochure, poster or booklet - Present their work in front of the class. - Do the assignment correctly Finish the Kahoot quiz . Capstone project Thomas Edison Language Institute Sacramento, California What: - The project is an 8 foot tall mosaic of the TE tiger’s head with a colorful tiled/brickwork base. - The mosaic is comprised of the hamsa, or khamsah, shape, repeated 1000-2000 times. Black or orange shapes will create the picture. - TE families can buy a khamsah and get a name engraved on it. - The khamsah shape is about 2.5” tall, and the font size is about 24 points (this text is 12 point font).
