Objective - By the end of the lesson students will be able to:
- identify the names of jobs in Arabic.
- say some workplaces’ words in Arabic.
- use the verb (work) and (want) in sentences with masculine / feminine Arabic words.
- write their dream jobs’ words in Arabic.
Chinese New Year
1.Students can know what is Chinese New Year and how Chinese people celebrate this important festival .
2.Students can make a new lantern or do a papercut.(Chinese character 春).
3.Students will have fun by watching a new year movie(little door god小门神).
Good Manners in Chinese
1.Students can say good manners in Mandarin Chinese .
2.Students practice these two groups good manners(谢谢/不客气,对不起/没关系) in Mandarin Chinese.
3.Students will have fun by singing a conversational song(including the mandarin Chinese students learned before).
Poem "For Goose"
"For Goose" is the first Chinese poem for kids in China.It is vivid and kids love to read it. And we do simple gestures to show the goose and the words in the poem to make it easier for kids to understand and learning while dancing and doing make them be more interested in it.
Unit Plan for the Spring Festival
Students will experience and learn different perspectives of Chinese Culture and Mandarin words based on Chinese Spring festival .Students will sing and dance the poem "Silent night" and the Chinese version of " Happy new year". And they will learn some Chinese art like paper cutting and cut Chinese zodiac.And they will do visual learning by enjoying some clips from "travel to the west" and read the picture-story book of this myth.Since we will go to Chinatown for a tour and it is famous for the Chinese food there, so students will learn some simple food.
