Weng Yu-Xuan
Bio
Weng Yu-Xuan is from Chiayi City, Taiwan and received her master's degree in Teaching Profession from National Taichung University. Since 2018, she has served as an English teacher at Chung-Ho Elementary School and as an itinerant teacher responsible for teaching in two schools. Throughout her tenure, she has organized various events, including Christmas, Halloween, and English Day, to enrich the school's cultural atmosphere. Outside of teaching, she enjoys gardening, playing musical instruments, and sports and fitness. During her year in the United States, she is looking forward to attending cultural events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and students, and sharing Taiwanese cultural events and stories with her American students. Her primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is to broaden her international perspective and gain insights into different educational systems worldwide. She aims to integrate these experiences and ideas into her teaching practices, enhancing her effectiveness as an educator. Ms. Weng will be hosted at California Area Senior High School in Coal Center, PA.
