Stephanie Heard is a Senior Program Officer at American Councils for International Education. She previously worked with Teacher Programs from 2009 until 2015, when she left to pursue her MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Maryland. She has taught ELD/ELL in Prince George’s County, Maryland and Verona, New Jersey to students at all grade levels from K-12. She received her bachelor’s degree in Art History and Psychology from Queen’s University in Ontario in 2007 and then spent a year teaching English in Shandong, China, which set her on the path of working in international education and becoming an educator.
