Shamina Chasteen
Bio
Shamina Chasteen is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States. She received her bachelor's degree in English and her master's degree in Teaching from Colgate University. She is currently an ELA and Science teacher at EastSide Charter School in the Apex Honors Program, where she teaches grades 6-8. She has held this position since January 2020. She became a teacher because she loves children and knows that if they learn to become critical thinkers, they can accomplish anything. She has been teaching for eleven years and she looks forward to the possibilities for growth that come with each new year. Ms. Chasteen was the mentor teacher to Wang Rennyu from Sanya, China.
