Liu Lina
Bio
Liu Lina is from Shijiazhuang, China. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Shaanxi Normal University in 2011 and her master's degree in English Teaching from Shaanxi Normal University in 2016. She has been an English teacher at Xinji Middle School of Hebei since 2011. Ms. Liu has been a head teacher for almost 6 years. She enjoys cooking, reading and doing exercise. During her year in the United States, she is looking forward to learning about American life and history, celebrating festivals such as Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day, attending an NBA match, and sharing Chinese traditional culture with her students. Ms. Liu’s primary objectives for participating in TCLP are to challenge herself and truly experience the language, culture, and life of America, and to show Chinese traditional culture and new changes of China to American students to give them a better understanding of China and Chinese. Ms. Liu was hosted by Mesita Elementary School in El Paso, TX and is the alumni buddy for Chang Jen-Yin.
