Li Chun-Yi

Bio
Li Chun-Yi is from New Taipei City, Taiwan and received her master's degree in children's English education from National Taipei University of Education. She has been an English teacher at Yixue Elementary School since 2010 and has worked as a lead English teacher this year. Through her devotion to mobile teaching, she has been able to help herself and her students connect with the world. Joining the delegation of educators from New Taipei City and the holiday card exchange program have promoted authentic cultural interactions for students. Outside of teaching she enjoys traveling, street dancing, working out, yoga, and badminton. As a Christian, she enjoyed traditional American holidays such as Christmas and Easter. In addition, she attended church worship services, and hip-hop dance and workout classes. Her primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages program was to immerse herself in a critical thinking environment and build intercultural communication between her students in the U.S. and Taiwan. She hopes her students learn to see the acquisition of language as not only a subject in school, but as a tool to fulfill their dreams. For the 2023-2024 academic year, Ms. Li was hosted by Unity Charter School in Morristown, NJ.
