Laila El Baghazaoui
Bio
Laila El Baghazaoui is from Bouznika, Morocco and obtained her master’s degree in languages informatique et traducation from Sultan Moulay Slimane University and a bachelor’s degree in English literature from El Cadi Ayyad University. Currently, she is a high school teacher at Charif Eldrissi High School in Benslimane. Previously, she was the school ambassador for the International School Award, provided by the British Council from 2018-2021. She facilitated the Global Nomad Group and ILEARN program at her school and was an Access Program teacher for one semester at Sidi Ahmed Bennacer High School. Outside of teaching, she loves the outdoors and trekking. During her year in the United States, she enjoyed American nature and learning how Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. Her primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program was to experience a new environment in the hopes of learning the methods and teaching strategies of American schools. For the 2023-2024 academic year, Ms. El Baghazaoui was hosted by Washington Latin Public Charter School in Washington, DC.
