Chang Jen-Yin

Bio
Chang Jen-Yin is from Taipei City, Taiwan and received her master's degree in applied foreign languages in business from YinTech. She attended the postgraduate educational program and passed the exams for being a public school teacher in 2005. Ms. Chang was also a home teacher in Tainan and transferred to her current school in Taipei in 2007. She has worked as a chief of clubs & activities and has also been the director of student affairs. She planned for an interschool exchange with Hong Kong and worked as a bilingual teacher in life curriculum, including the Little Farm Project and disaster preparedness. Her team received the High Distinction Award in the Little Farm Project in 2020 and 2021. She is also the captain of the teacher volleyball team (the champion in 2022) and in charge of the body fitness teacher club. Ms. Chang enjoys sports, visiting museums, hiking, and traveling. During her year in the United States, she looks forward to experiencing Thanksgiving and Christmas, attending NBA games, and seeing an opera or going to a concert. Her primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is to broaden her international horizons and to promote Chinese culture and introduce Mandarin as much as she can. Ms. Chang will be hosted by OB Gates Elementary in Chesterfield, Virginia.
