Farhad Karim
Bio
Farhad Karim is originally from Los Angeles, California. He received his master's degree in social justice intercultural relations from the School of International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont and received his bachelor's degree in psychology from James Madison University in Harrionsonburg, Virginia. He is currently a U.S. history teacher at Brooklyn Emerging Leadership Academy, a position he has held since 2020. Mr. Karim is also a dual History Department Team Lead and has taught in New Orleans, Louisiana as well as New York. He became a teacher to support youth leadership and empowerment while creating engaging yet rigorous content for students and has been teaching for more than 10 years. Mr. Karim is the mentor teacher at BELA.
