Ezzat Belal
Bio
Ezzat Belal is from Damanhour, Egypt and received his bachelor's degree in English education and literature from Alexandria University in 2001 and 2005. In addition, he received an advanced diploma certificate in Professional Teacher Practice from Northumbria University in 2010 and a Professional Educator Diploma (PED) from the American University of Cairo in 2022. He has been a senior English and English literature teacher at Amr Ibn El Uss Formal Language School since 2012 and leads extracurricular activities such as the school’s English Club and Broadcast Club. Outside of teaching, he enjoys traveling, playing football and photography. During his year in the United States, he is looking forward to celebrating all the American holidays such as Thanksgiving and Halloween. His primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is learning from his host schools’ teaching methods and strategies. Mr. Belal will be hosted by Maple Street Magnet School for the Arts in Kalamazoo, MI.
