Christopher Miller
Bio
Chris Miller is originally from Rome, GA. He received a bachelor's degree in Education-Music from Berry College. He has been teaching for over 33 years with elementary, middle and high school students. He is currently a General Music Teacher and Instrumental Coordinator at Haven Elementary School, a position he has held since 2010. Mr. Miller is also a participating teacher and original faculty participant in the Savannah Music Festival Musical Explorers program. This program, in conjunction with Carnegie Hall in New York City, introduces and instructs students in numerous genres and styles of music from around the world. Mr. Miller was previously a band director at all levels 5th - 12th grades for various schools in Chatham County, totaling 20 years in that area. He enjoys learning and sharing everything he can about music with his students. He has performed throughout the Southeast and is currently in the Savannah Stompers, a traditional jazz band. He enjoys video games, reading, sci-fi/RPGs, history and movies. He is married to a Chatham County 7th Grade Science teacher and has 3 children and 3 dogs! For the 2023-2024 academic year, Miller was the mentor teacher to Liu Hai from Bijie, China.
