Chiang Wei-Shin
Bio
Chiang Wei-Shin (Alice) is from New Taipei City, Taiwan and received her master’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages from National Taiwan University of Technology & Science and a bachelor's degree in advertising from Michigan State University. She has been an English teacher at National Ilan Commercial Vocational Senior High School since 2017. In addition, she is a Mandarin teacher for Rotary exchange students and has been the Director of the Applied English Department for four years. Outside of teaching, she enjoys learning new languages and cultures, listening to hip hop music, reading suspense novels, and traveling. During her year in the United States, she is looking forward to visiting local zoos and museums, learning from experienced American teachers, and going to stand-up comedy shows. Her primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is to get new ideas and inspiration for teaching, and to find exchange opportunities for her home school. Ms. Chiang will be hosted by Vista Heritage Global Academy in Santa Ana, CA.
