Cheng Hsian-Lan
Bio
Cheng Hsian-Lan is from Taichung City, Taiwan and received her master's degree in education from National Taiwan Normal University. She has been an English teacher at Han-Kou Junior High School since 2009. She is also an executive secretary of school lunch and has joined the programs of food & farm education and mountain education. Ms. Cheng enjoys cooking, biking, and hiking. During her year in the United States, she is looking forward to celebrating American holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, attending American sports games, and sharing her cultural holidays with her students. Her primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is to participate in a cultural exchange and to enrich her teaching and curriculum. Ms. Cheng was hosted by Bellows Free Academy Fairfax in Fairfax, Vermont. For the 2024-2025 academic year, Cheng Hsian-Lan served as an Alumni Buddy for exchange teacher Weng Yu-Xuan.
