Tan Lihua is from Chongqing, China and holds a Bachelor of Literature degree in English from Chongqing Normal University. Since 2005, she has taught English at Dazu Middle School in Chongqing (8,000 students and 400 teachers). Ms. Tan lives with her mother and is interested in music, film, and travel. Her goals for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program are to further understand how the U.S. education system functions and to create long lasting relationships with her host school community.
