Chen Jinyun
Bio
Chen Jinyun is originally from Nanjing, Jiangsu, China and received her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature at Xiaogan University. Subsequently, she went to Southwest University of Science and Technology and received a Master's degree in English Literature in 2010. Currently, she works as an English as a second language teacher at Nanjing Foreign Language School, Xianlin Campus, where she also teaches French and tennis as elective courses. She enjoys playing billiards and table tennis, practicing Chinese calligraphy, and enjoying musicals and dramas. Her primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Language Program is to learn more about American teaching methodologies; culture, and society; build partnerships between both her home school and American sister school; and promote mutual understanding of international cultures for both students in China and the U.S. She was hosted by Dracut Senior High School (1,100 students and 65 teachers) in Dracut, Massachusetts (pop. 29, 457).
Ms. Jinyun is the TCLP Alumni Cohort Leader for the China 2013-2014 group. She was also an alumni buddy to Gao Xingping for 2016-2017 and to Zhang Wenjie for 2017-2018.
