Elizabeth Manning
Bio
Elizabeth Manning is originally from West Hartford, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish from the University of Connecticut and her Master of Arts Degree from Southern Connecticut State University. She is currently a Spanish teacher at Hopkinton High School, a position she has held since 1994. She is also a Foreign Language Team Leader, and has mentored new teachers, been a class advisor and served as advisor and faculty council member of the National Honor Society. She became a teacher to share her love of Spanish and other cultures with young people, and has now been teaching for 30 years. She has studied and traveled in Spain and other European countries with her family and student groups. She is married with two young adult children. Her hobbies include sports, running, reading, visiting new places, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves learning about different cultures around the world. She was the mentor teacher for Wang Xiaona from Dalian Yuming Senior High School in Dalian, China in 2011-2012.
