Neil Schendel
Bio
Neil Schendel is originally from Danube, Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Arts and Physical Education from Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa. He received his Master of Education Administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He also received a Sixth Year Certificate in Administration from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. He is currently Assistant Principal at Willmar Senior High School, a position he has held since 1995. He became a teacher because he loves working with kids. He taught and coached various sports for 14 years before he went into administration. He continues to watch student-athletes excel. He was the Region 2AA Athletic Director of the Year, Southwest Division Assistant Principal of the Year in 1991, and Central Minnesota Assistant Principal of the Year in 2007. Mr. Schendel is married with three children. His hobbies include attending sporting events, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
He was the mentor teacher for Tang Beiyi from Chengdu Huaxi Middle School in Chengdu, China in 2011-2012.
