Xu Wenting

Bio
Xu Wenting is from Nanchang City, China. She received her master’s degree in education from Jiangxi Normal University. She has been a primary English teacher in Nanchang Zhanqian Road School since 2014. She is also the vice principal in charge of student activities. She has been a primary English teacher at other schools since 2002. She received the second award of “Outstanding Young Teachers” in Nanchang city and won first place at the Primary English Course Teaching Competition in Jiangxi Province. She enjoys reading books, listening to music, and sports. She can play the Guzheng (string instrument) as well. During her year in the U.S., Ms. Xu hoped to help American students who are interested in Mandarin continue learning about Chinese culture. She also looked forward to attending a Broadway Show and visiting Hollywood. Her primary objectives for participating in TCLP were to improve her English proficiency and learn more about U.S. teaching methodologies. She hoped to help her home school and her host school establish a sister school relationship. She was hosted by Suder Montessori School in Chicago, IL.
