Julio Vega
Bio
Julio Vega is originally from Rolling Meadows, Illinois. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. He is currently a 6th grade science teacher at Watson B. Duncan Middle School, a position he has held since 2013. He is also the 6th Grade Class Sponsor, First Priority Club Sponsor, Track & Field Coach, and Cross Country Coach. As of 2019, has been teaching for six years. He became a teacher to give his students a “Mr. Miller Story." Mr. Miller was the most influential person in his life growing up and showed how to truly love students and build positive relationships and rapport with everyone he encountered. Mr. Vega was the mentor teacher to Chen Lijun from Jiamusi, China (2019-2020).
