Michelle Martin
Bio
Michelle Martin is originally from San Antonio, Texas and has lived in various parts of Southern California. She received her master’s degree in teaching in the multicultural classroom from National University as well as her bachelor’s degree in English literature from California State University, San Bernardino. She is currently an English teacher at Tonopah Valley High School, a position she has held since 2016. In addition, she coaches athletic teams, including cross country and track and field. She pursued teaching based on advice from a former colleague, who believed her ability to work well with others and her empathy would make her a great teacher. As of 2019, she has 11 years of experience in education. She was the mentor teacher to Hu Xiaomin from Zhijiang, China (2019-2020).
