Roxana Rivero-Taube

Bio
Roxana Rivero-Taube is originally from Lima, Peru. She received her bachelor's degree in agriculture from the University of Arizona and acquired her professional teaching certificate from Florida Atlantic University. She taught science for 13 years for grades 6-8 and has been teaching Spanish for the past five years. She currently teaches Spanish and science at Plantation Middle School. Ms. Rivero-Taube is the world language competition coordinator, and has been for the past five years. She was a new teacher's coach for five years, aiding and guiding new teachers as they started their new careers, a task she truly enjoyed doing. She became a teacher because this is something she always thought about doing. Her mother taught English for a few years and her grandmother was a seventh grade science teacher for over 30 years. Ms. Rivero-Taube has two grown children, a daughter and a son, as well as three grandchildren. She was the mentor teacher to Zhao Xin from Guangzhou, China (2018-2019); Huang Can from Fuzhou, China (2019-2020); and Hu Qian from Gaoyou, China (2021-2022).
