John Pecoraro

Bio
John Pecoraro is originally from Smithfield, Rhode Island. He received his bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies and master’s in teaching Spanish from Rhode Island College. He is currently the world language department chairperson at Chariho Regional High School, a position he has held since 2013. He is an active member of the Rhode Island Foreign Language Association and contributed to the development of the K-12 language program. He has experience in acting and video production and currently hosts the Chariho Regional Film Festival. He became a teacher to give students the resources, inspiration, and confidence to be conscientious global citizens and life-long learners. As of 2019, he has been teaching for seven years. Mr. Pecoraro was the mentor teacher to Wang Ling from Liuyang, China (2018-2019) and Li Ning from Jiaohe, China (2019-2020).
