Zou Feili is from Zhaoqing, China. She received her bachelor’s degree in English literature from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2005. In 2010, she received a postgraduate degree in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics from Sun Yat-Sen University. She has been teaching English at Zhaoqing Middle School since 2010 and is also the head of English teachers at Dawang Experimental School, which is sponsored by her school. In 2017, she won first place in the Zhaoqing teaching competence competition and represented Zhaoqing in the provincial teaching competence competition, placing eighth. She enjoys cooking, reading, running, and writing. She has four-year-old twins. She had looked forward to building a close connection with her American students and celebrating important Chinese festivals with them. Ms. Zou’s primary objective for participating in TCLP was to share Chinese culture with her American students. She aimed to teach her students many basic Chinese characters during her TCLP year. She was hosted by Bodine High School for International Affairs in Philadelphia, PA.
