Wu Ning

Bio
Wu Ning is originally from Nanjing, China. She has received a master's degree in TESOL from Queensland University of Technology, as well as a master's degree in education from Anhui Normal University. She also received a Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Hanban. Ms. Wu has been a senior teacher in Nanjing Wenshu High School since 1989 where she also leads an English Teaching Research Group for which she was named a Municipal Outstanding Leader of Teaching and Research Group. She has also been a head teacher and has been involved in course book development and test design. Ms. Wu enjoys reading, music, cooking, handicrafts, and art. She has a husband and a son. During her year in the United States, Ms. Ning looked forward to experiencing American life and culture. She hopes to observe classes, attend school activities, and celebrate American holidays. Ms. Wu’s primary objective for participating in TCLP is to introduce Chinese language and culture to the students in her host school. She also hopes to improve her own teaching by learning from American teachers. She was hosted by Ewa Makai Middle School in Ewa Beach, HI.
