Karen Latus

Bio
Karen Latus is originally from New Buffalo, Michigan. She received her bachelor's degree in Spanish and linguistics from the University of Michigan as well as a bachelor's degree in Sign Language studies from Madonna University. She also earned her master's in clinical social work from the University of Tennessee. Ms. Latus is a Spanish teacher at Bearden High School and has worked for Knox County School District since 2009. She also team-teaches a class with the English Language Program, mentors new teachers, and presents at professional development conferences at both the school and district levels. Ms. Latus was the mentor teacher to Abdallah El Mouden from Casablanca, Morocco (2017-2018).
