Sean Fredericks
Bio
Sean Fredericks is originally from Staten Island, New York. He received his bachelor’s degree from Boston University in psychology and his master’s degree from Tel Aviv University in education. He is currently the English Language Learner Coordinator at Integration Charter Schools, a position he has held for five years. He decided to make education his career after spending over a decade teaching English to speakers of other languages in Asia and the Middle East, including in China, Egypt, Jordan, and Israel (where he married his husband of nine years). As of 2019, he has been teaching for over 15 years. His hobbies include acrobatics, yoga, and circus arts, including juggling, poi, and hula hooping. The 2019-2020 academic year was Mr. Fredericks' fourth year as a mentor teacher. He was the mentor teacher to Mohamed El-Dwiny from Damietta, Egypt (2016-2017), Adel Ghattas from Asyut, Egypt (2017-2018), Ibrahim Ibrahim from Kafrshukr, Egypt (2018-2019), and Manal Salem from Alexandria, Egypt (2019-2020).
