Gu Wenming
Bio
Gu Wenming is originally from Handan, China. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Hebei Normal University and a master’s degree in curriculum and methodology from Tianjin Normal University. Mr. Gu has been a teacher of English at Handan No. 2 Senior High School since 2005. He is also a vice-principal responsible for international affairs and school security. Previously, he taught at the junior high school level for 20 years. In his spare time, Mr. Gu enjoys playing the piano, singing, cooking, and swimming. His wife teaches English in a college and he has one son. His primary objectives for participating in TCLP are to spark a love of learning Mandarin in his U.S. students and to experience American systems of education, culture, and society in person. Mr. Gu was hosted by Captain Nathan Hale Middle School in Coventry, Connecticut. He was an Alumni Buddy to Li Chunping in 2017-2018.
