Wang Yu
Bio
Wang Yu is originally from Changchun, China. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Beijing Normal University. Ms. Wang has worked as a high school English teacher in Beijing Chaoyang Foreign Language School since 2006, where she currently teaches seventh graders and works as the leader of English teachers for that grade. She enjoys drawing and reading books, especially fiction. Ms. Wang’s primary objective for participating in TCLP is that she will have a wonderful chance and challenge to teach her native language after ten years of teaching English in China. Also, she would like to experience American culture and get to know people in a country about which she has studied since she began learning English. Ms. Wang was hosted by Buxton Center Elementary School in Buxton, Maine. She was an alumni buddy to Su Di for the 2017-2018 year and to Huang Can for 2019-2020. She was also the Cohort Leader for 2016-2017.
