Heba Mokhtar is originally from Alexandria, Egypt. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Department of English (Language and Translation Branch) of Alexandria University. Ms. Mokhtar has been an English teacher for students in first and second grade at Pioneers International School since September 2014. Previously, she worked as an English teacher and second grade coordinator from 2007 to 2014. She enjoys listening to music, going on trips, and visiting new places. Ms. Mokhtar’s primary objectives for participating in TCLP are to gain new work experience, to be introduced to a new educational system, and to learn more about American culture. She was hosted by Garden Oaks Montessori in Houston, Texas and is an alumni buddy to Nermeen Aboughoneim.
