Amira Hamed is originally from Alexandria, Egypt. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the English Department of Alexandria University. She also received an advanced diploma in Professional Teaching Practice from Northumbria University, England. Ms. Hamed recently transferred to a new school, Taha Hussein Secondary School for Girls. She enjoys reading literature, going to the movies, and sightseeing. Her primary objective for participating in TCLP is to expose American students to Arab culture, history, and traditions and to likewise be exposed to American culture. Ms. Hamed wants to improve her language and teaching skills. She was hosted by Highland Middle School in Highland, New York.
