Yin Qian is from Beijing, China. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from China Youth University for Political Science. She has been an English teacher at Haileybury International School since 2014. She previously worked as an English Teacher at Chao Yang Foreign Language School from 2009 to 2014. Ms.Yin worked as a Mandarin teacher at Harris Academy, London for the 2011-2012 academic year, which was sponsored by British Councils. She enjoys traveling, swimming, and dancing. Her primary objective for participating in TCLP is to learn more about U.S. teaching methodologies and culture, and to share Chinese culture and language with U.S. students. Yin Qian was hosted by Andrew Lewis Middle School in Salem, Virginia. She was an alumni buddy to Ma Jianhong for the 2016-2017 year and to Lao Xiaojing for 2017-2018.
