Ezzat Hassan is from Mit Ghamr, Egypt. He received his bachelor of arts degree in English from Zagazig University. Mr. Hassan also holds both a general and professional diploma in Education. He completed a Teaching Knowledge Test at Cambridge University and did many online courses, such as Shaping the Way We Teach. He has been a senior teacher at Gesfa Secondary School for Girls since 2008. He also works for the school training department and was a trainer for International Computer Driving License from 2009 to 2012. He was chosen as the Ideal Teacher at Mitghamr Directorate in 2013. He enjoys playing soccer, cycling, reading, and walking. His primary objective for participating in TCLP is to help American students gain a better understanding of Arabic language and culture, to learn about American teaching methods, and to establish long-lasting relationships between his host school and home school communities. Mr. Hassan was hosted by Mentor High School in Mentor, Ohio. Mr. Hassan is the TCLP Alumni Cohort Leader for the Egypt 2015-2016 group. He also is an alumni buddy for the 2016-2017 year and 2017-2018 year. For the 2023-2024 academic year, Ezzat Hassan will serve as an Alumni Buddy for exchange teacher Hossam Ahmed.
