Stacy Lyon

Bio
Ms. Lyon is originally from Monmouth, Oregon. She received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Arts in Music Education from the University of Washington. She has been the World Language Program Director since 2009 and has taught Chinese and orchestra since 2006, but has taught music for 23 years. She became a teacher because she enjoys helping others succeed, and especially likes working with beginners to help build their foundations. Her abroad experiences include studying in Sweden, Jerusalem in Jordan and Egypt, and Chine, where she has also participated on three tours and trainings, she has also lived, worked, and volunteered in Taiwan. She is married, has 3 children, likes to travel, meet new people, and loves the arts. She also hopes to continue studying Arabic. She currently holds the presidential position of the Utah Association of Chinese Teachers and hope to help build a strong network among their many teachers. She is the mentor teacher for Munir Soliman Salim Gomaa from North Sinai, Egypt.
