Xu Menghong is from Hubei province. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wuhan University. She has been working as a teacher since 1993 and is currently a senior English teacher in No. 16 Steel City High School. Mrs. Xu has been the school’s team leader for curriculum design since 2002 and has successfully experimented with various innovative methods in her classroom. She loves music, sports and traveling. Ms. Xu’s primary objective for participating in TCLP is to enable her American students to gain confidence in speaking Chinese. She would like to share her expertise with Americans as well as learn from American culture and perspectives. Ms. Xu was hosted by Laurens District 55 High School in Laurens, South Carolina.
