Song Haiyan
Bio
Song Haiyan is from Hubei Province and holds degrees in English language and literature and applied linguistics. She has taught for 12 years and is one of 299 teachers in the English department of the Foreign Language School in Wuhan University. The university is directly under the administration of the Education Ministry of the People’s Republic of China. In addition to teaching at the university, Ms. Song teaches English to non-college students and works part-time as a tour guide and translator for foreign groups. Her awards include the “Excellent Teacher Award” and second prize for teaching college English, an award that she has won multiple times. Ms. Song was hosted by Daniel Hand High School in Madison, Connecticut.
