Erika Miller

Bio
Erika Miller is originally from Bressanone, Italy. She received Bachelor of Science degrees in German and French from Millersville University and continued at the same institution to attain her Masters of Arts degree in German. She is currently a German/French teacher at J.P. McCaskey High School, where she has taught since 1993. In all, she has been teaching for 20 years. She has traveled to Italy every summer for the past 15 years and before that, every two years with her husband and children. She has regularly traveled to Berlin with J.P. McCaskey’s high school exchange program over the past ten years and has also previously lived in London, England. Mrs. Miller has been nominated seven times for inclusion in “Who’s Who Among American H.S. teachers;” she received the Duden award for outstanding achievement in 2001; and she received the Pequea Valley H.S. Teacher of the Year Award in 1993. She is married and has a son and a daughter. Besides teaching, Mrs. Miller enjoys reading, gardening, traveling, hiking, knitting, cooking and spending lots of time with her family.

She was the mentor teacher for Zheng Chen during the 2010-2011 academic year.
