Miguel Fleitas

Bio
Miguel Fleitas is originally from Santa Cruz, Spain. He received his degrees in Education and English from Universdad Complutense in Madrid and from Universidad de La Laguna in Santa Cruz, respectively. With ten years of teaching experience, Mr. Fleitas currently teaches foreign language at Scott’s Branch High School, where he has worked since 2002. He also serves as the school soccer coach. He began teaching in order to find opportunities to grow and experience different cultures, while influencing the lives of young men and women. Mr. Fleitas won Employee of the Month Awards in September 2010 and May 2008, and has gained experience abroad while at the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier, France for one year. He has been married for ten years and has three children. His hobbies include sports such as running and soccer, woodworking, and traveling.

He was the mentor teacher for Ibrahim Elkadi during the 2010-2011 academic year.
