Li Fang
Bio
Li Fang is from Jiayuguan and holds a Master of Arts degree in Education and English from Northwest Normal University. She has been teaching English at Jiayuguan Jiugang No. 3 High School (3,700 students and 202 teachers) since 1999, and has also taught at No. 4 Middle School. Ms. Li has studied English in Canada, and last year she organized and accompanied 30 first-grade students on a three-week English language program in New Zealand. Through these opportunities she gained rich experience in teaching methodologies and communicative language. Ms. Li is married and has a seven-year-old son. She is fond of reading and playing table tennis. Her purpose for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program was to help U.S. students study Chinese language and present China’s rich culture to them. She sought to improve her English proficiency and learn about American culture, society and new teaching methodologies.
