Al Amir Hassan

Bio
Al Amir Hassan is from Giza, and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Education degree from Helwan University. He also has a Master’s degree in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language and a Certificate of Written Translation from the American University at Cairo. Mr. Al Amir stayed at the American University in Cairo to be an Assistant Teacher at the Arabic Language Institute and an English teacher at the Department of Refugees and Forced Migration and the STAR program. Currently, he teaches English at the Kaw Mia Language School in Giza. Mr. Al Amir has held several school leadership positions and traveled to the U.S. and Thailand to attend teaching conferences. He is married with two children. He participated in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program to promote Arabic language and culture, and to learn about U.S. students and their learning habits.
