Lin Yimei
Bio
Lin Yimei is from Xiamen and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Beijing Normal University. She received her Masters degree in Interpreting from Xiamen University in 2010. Since 2006, she has taught English at Xiamen No. 1 Middle School in Fujian (6,000 students and 400 teachers). She has participated in many teaching contests, where she has gained experience with current best practices in teaching methodologies, critical thinking and communicative language. Her interests include music, film and sports. Her goals for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program were to bring creative teaching methods to U.S. classrooms, and to explore classroom management, student motivation, and student assessment techniques in the U.S.
