Mohamed Mehanny, (TCLP 2013-14 at International School at Thorton Middle in Thornton, CO) attended the 20th Nile TESOL International conference January 26-27, 2016. While there, he met another teacher who was also TCLP alum, Sabreen Kamel (TCLP 2014-15 at Disney II Magnet School in Chicago, IL)! Following the conference, January 28 – February 4, Mr. Mehanny and Ms. Kamel attended a training program on the topic of how to be a mentor and trainer for other teachers in their schools and other schools. American professor Jerry Gebhard, an English professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania, conducted the training. Mr. Mehanny and Ms. Kamel were two of only 20 selected teachers across the country for the training!
