Mona Ghareeb Sayed Hussien Ismail

Bio
Mona Ismail is from El-Kanater El-Khairia, Egypt. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Benha University. She was an English teacher at Amer American school for four years. As a team leader for the primary grades, she was responsible for supporting teachers with materials they needed and monitoring their daily lesson plans. Currently, Ms. Ismail works as an English teacher for the middle and elementary grades at Cairo International Language School-American Division, a position she has held since 2016. She is also the team leader of the school accreditation committee "Cognia". In 2016, she was a curriculum designer at her school and designed a well-informed curriculum for third graders. She enjoys cycling and volunteering. During her year in the United States, Ms. Ismail is looking forward to participating in community service and sharing some of her cultural festivities, such as Ramadan, with her students. Her primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is to teach her mother tongue to foreigners and help them communicate effortlessly with Arab people around the world. Ms. Ismail will be hosted by the Ashford School in Ashford, Connecticut.
