Gordana Kloosterman

Bio
Gordana (Anna) Kloosterman is originally from Zagreb, Croatia but has been living in Kalamazoo, Michigan for 27 years. She received her bachelor's degree in French and German in 1999 from Western Michigan University. Later, she completed her bachelor's degree in Spanish and graduated with a master's degree in Spanish literature in 2011. Ms. Kloosterman is currently a Spanish and Drama teacher at Maple Street Magnet Schools for the Arts in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a position she has held since 2016. Before that, she worked as a Spanish, French, and German instructor in Portage Public Schools, Michigan and in Battle Creek Public School District, also in Michigan. Ms. Kloosterman became a teacher to instill a love of languages and culture in her students and to share her life experience and travels with them. She has been teaching for 20 years in different school districts. Ms. Kloosterman is the mentor teacher to Moulay Tahar Kettani from Marrakech, Morocco.
