Bouslam Abaid

Bio
Bouslam Abaid is from Biougra, Morocco. He received his bachelor's degree in linguistics and a master's degree in applied linguistics and language studies from Ibn Zohr University. He has been teaching English as a foreign language since 2016. Currently, Mr. Abaid is working at Okba Bno Nafii High School. He is a head teacher, a member of the School Management Council, the Language Club coordinator, and the coordinator of the International Cultural Bridges Forum. He enjoys playing music, planting, and hiking. During his year in the United States, Mr. Abaid is looking forward to learning first-hand about the U.S. culture and society, celebrating Halloween, and sharing Moroccan culture with his American students. His primary objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is to promote cross-cultural understanding between the people of Morocco and the U.S. and to expand his knowledge of the U.S. culture, educational system, and teaching methodologies to be shared with his home school and community when he returns. Mr. Abaid will be hosted by Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
