Heather Zamudio-Causey

Bio
Heather Zamudio-Causey is originally from Amarillo, Texas, USA. She received her MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of North Texas in 2009. She also has a Master of Arts in Teaching English from the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. She is currently starting the ESL program at International High School of New Orleans. She teaches ESL Levels 1 to 3 and a Physical Science class for ESL students. She became a teacher to help children successfully navigate an ever changing world. She especially loves to teach ESL because it not only involves teaching the English language, but also includes acclimating students to a new culture, teaching them to advocate for themselves and guiding them to becoming successful adults in a new, and sometimes confusing, world. Ms. Causey is the mentor teacher for Eman Bekheet Abdelsabour Mohammed Bekheet from Alexandria, Egypt.
